The Caller ID line blocking fee is waived for customers that pay for an unlisted or non-published service.  This fee is also waived for customers that demonstrate a risk to their safety.

 

Implementation of calling features are subject to a secondary service order charge of $2.00.

  Drop and underground wiring beyond 400 feet of existing service is subject to additional fees based on actual cost.  We do not bury cable.  All underground wire needs to be placed in a conduit.

Terms: Rates are net, billed monthly and payable within 25 days.  Accounts become delinquent after 25 days from the original billing date.  A delinquent penalty of 1% shall be assessed on the amounts delinquent on the 15th day of each month.

Local service is billed in advance.

Non-seasonal service may be suspended at one-half rate, not to exceed six months per year.

 

Income qualified customers may qualify for a monthly lifeline discount credit and/or a reduction in service charges.  Apply at the VT Department of Children and Families, or the VT Income Tax Form. Franklin Telephone can provide additional information.

Long Distance Service:

You are free to choose any long distance carrier that has requested Franklin Telephone to activate their carrier identification code.

 

Franklin has a long distance service called FranklinVT, LLC. Franklin is a billing agent for Fairpoint Communications. Franklin also occasionally bills for other carriers (i.e. calling card, collect, or if a carrier does not have you recorded as their customer).  These rates may be quite high.  It may be more economical for customers to purchase a prepaid calling card.   

 

If you choose to change long distance carriers, please notify us at 285-9911.  It is your responsibility to notify your former carrier when you switch.

 

There is a fee of $5.25 each time you request to have your long distance service changed.
